The best venue doesn't always win. The one that replies first does. FAI Consultancy builds practical AI systems for hospitality, events and experience-led businesses. Faster responses, fewer admin hours, more of the revenue already coming in. Results: 83.6% booking uplift, event enquiry response down from 7 days to 48 hours, board level reporting down from 5 days to 30 minutes.

Hospitality businesses are good at being busy. Busy isn't the same as profitable.

Most of the revenue you are losing never shows up in your reports. It never arrives in the first place.

A guest calls to book. No answer. They try again later. Still nothing. They go online, find somewhere else, and book.

£2,500 gone.

No complaint, no feedback, no visibility. This happens more than you think.

Multiply that across a season, across departments, across every touchpoint where your business is hard to reach and you're looking at a significant, invisible number.

You won't find it in your P&L. But it's there.

Six sources of hidden revenue leaks: calls going unanswered during peak periods, enquiries followed up too late or not at all, restaurant and spa capacity sitting empty while guests are on-site, teams too stretched to respond at the right speed, admin hours spent on tasks that should be automated, leadership making decisions from yesterday's data.

It's not one big issue. It's dozens of small leaks.

Where it's coming from

What I Do

Practical AI systems, built around how hospitality businesses actually work.

FAI Consultancy is an AI strategy and implementation consultancy working exclusively with hospitality, events and experience-led businesses across the UK and the United States.

The work starts with an AI Readiness Assessment: a structured review of every department to find where revenue is leaking, where time is being lost, and what AI can realistically do about it. You get a prioritised roadmap of what to fix, in what order, and what the return looks like.

Finding the leaks. Designing the fix. Making sure your team can run with it.

Not AI for the sake of it. Systems that make your operation tighter, your team more effective, and your revenue more predictable.

THE PROCESS

Five stages. No mystery.

Every assessment is led by Francesca directly. You are not handed to a junior analyst or a generic framework.

01 Assessment

A structured review across every department, mapped to commercial impact.

02 Value mapping

We define the opportunities and size them, so effort goes where the return is.

03 Roadmap and priorities

A phased plan with clear objectives, sequenced around your team's real capacity.

04 Key findings report

Everything documented: benchmarks, gaps, before and after workflows, next steps.

05 Presentation of findings

Delivered to you and your leadership team, with the evidence to act on it.

WHO THIS IS FOR

Experience-led hospitality businesses with real operational complexity.

The businesses that get the most from this work are the ones that are genuinely good at hospitality. Great guest experience, loyal customers, real demand. But they have not yet built the operational infrastructure to match what they have created. Usually turning over £1M or more. Often running across multiple departments or revenue streams. Almost always relying on a small number of people to hold more together than they should have to. If you recognise that picture, you are in the right place.

Growing fast enough that manual processes are becoming a ceiling. Ready to build infrastructure that keeps up.

Owners and GMs who know there's inefficiency but can't see the full picture, and want a clear plan rather than a vague assessment.

REAL RESULTS

83.6% more bookings. Same team. No new headcount.

A Cornwall charitable hospitality and leisure operator came to FAI with five disconnected systems, event enquiries taking up to seven working days to answer, and no unified guest data.

Twelve months later: booking volume up 83.6% year on year. Board level reporting produced in a day instead of five. 92% of staff reporting more confidence handling questions outside their own department. 70 to 100 admin hours saved.

The full story, including the systems we built and the roadmap we followed, is in the case study.

WHY THIS WORKS

Led by someone who has run hospitality businesses. Not just consulted for them.

Francesca Wood founded FAI Consultancy after 20 years in hospitality management, working as a General Manager and Head of Commercial across hotels, resorts and multi-site venues.

That matters because the hard part of AI in hospitality is not the technology. It is knowing which processes can change, which cannot, and what will actually get adopted by a team already working at capacity.

Not a tech consultant who learned hospitality. A hospitality operator who understands the technology.

Based in Cornwall, England. Working with hospitality businesses across the UK and the United States.

FAQ section

Common questions

What is an AI Readiness Assessment?

An AI Readiness Assessment is a structured review of a business to establish where AI can create measurable commercial value, and in what order to implement it. It runs as a guided online interview of up to 100 questions covering every department: guest communication, enquiry handling, booking and revenue systems, marketing, reporting, finance and staff capability. The output is a prioritised roadmap and a key findings report, not a list of tool recommendations.

How much does it cost?

The AI Readiness Assessment starts at £2500. Final pricing depends on the complexity of your operation: how many departments, revenue streams and systems are in scope, and how many people need to be interviewed. A single-site venue with two revenue streams is a different piece of work from a hotel running rooms, spa, F&B and events. US clients are invoiced in the equivalent US dollar amount at the prevailing rate.

How long does it take, and how much of my team's time does it need?

The interview is completed online at your own pace and questions are routed to the people who actually know the answers rather than landing entirely on one person. The full assessment can run over a few hours or a few days depending on the size of your operation. You receive a key findings report within 5 business days and a presentation of findings at the end.

Do I need to already be using AI?

No. Most operators FAI works with are starting from manual processes and disconnected systems. Knowing nothing about AI is not a barrier. The assessment establishes where you are before anything is recommended.

Will my team actually use any of this?

Adoption is designed in from the start, because a report nobody acts on is worthless. The structure is built so findings land with the people who own each area, and so momentum survives the week after the presentation. Following an assessment with The Red Carnation Hotel Collection they reported:

"We are already putting your report and recommendations into practice. We have started several pilot initiatives at The Montague, and established a committee and roadmap to ensure we maintain momentum and accountability. What was particularly valuable was the structure and framework you provided. It helped bring everyone together, gave people a clear focus, and created accountability."

In a separate engagement with a Cornwall, England operator, 92% of staff reported feeling more confident handling questions outside their own department.

Where are you based, and where do you work?

FAI Consultancy is based in Cornwall, England, and works with hospitality businesses across the UK and the United States. Assessments and implementation are run remotely as standard, with on-site time arranged where it adds value.

What if I just want to explore first?

Start with the case study. It shows exactly what an assessment uncovers and what changes as a result, using a real hospitality operation. If you would rather talk it through, a 15 minute introduction call is the easiest way to find out whether there is a fit. Neither commits you to anything.

The demand is there. The question is whether you're capturing it.

Find the leaks. Fix the systems. Keep the revenue.

No obligation to implement anything beyond the assessment itself.
